Refurbishment Update – still time to donate

If you’ve been into the club recently you will no doubt have seen the new carpet in the bar area. Our membership has been really generous in donating towards the funding of our improvements. We set a target of £3000 to enable all improvements to be made and we have raised nearly 2/3 of that amount already. Massive thanks to all those members who have so generously given. You can still donate by going to our Donations page and paying online or over the bar to Steve, our steward.

Target is £3000

Reduced rate subscription

New visitors to this site and the club might like to know that we currently have a special offer on our annual subscription rate. New members pay only £10, half the usual rate, which gives full access to the club until subscriptions are renewed at the end of October.

Leeds Snooker League Update

Congratulations to all players who participated in the Leeds Snooker and Billiards Organisation League this year. We finished the season with 108 points and finished in a creditable 5th place, our highest position to date.

Team members played in 26 matches in total in a season which began last September. A special mention must go to Tim who captained the team and had the unenviable job of selecting players from a talented bunch

Leeds Snooker League Update

A disappointing result of 3- 5 last Wednesday saw us slip to just below mid-table. Unfortunately none of the team acquitted themselves too well, especially when we all had chances and the final result could have been much different.

Our next game is away against Pudsey Liberal Club B on Wednesday 30th January

A good start to the new year, in the second half of the season, with a respectable draw against storing opponents Rowland Road C. Shiv scored an excellent break as all members of the team managed to draw their matches.

Christmas Quiz

A brilliant Christmas Quiz (in January!) was enjoyed by over 35 members and friends last Saturday.

Steve Mayne, our steward, did a fantastic job hosting the evening and was ably assisted by Jan who produced a magnificent buffet spread. Steve even managed to get hold of Santa who Ho Ho Hoed his way into the club giving presents out to everybody. Lots of games of sticky 13 along with a challenging quiz although the winners scored an amazing 24 out of 25!

A snowy welcome
