On Saturday 5th October we ran our first gin tasting night. Organised and hosted by Grail Distillery, Saddleworth over 30 people enjoyed the superb collection of gins created by this relatively new distillery.

Ably assisted by the charismatic Paul Gibson, account manager at Grail, who acted as the MC for the night, master distiller Alex introduced each gin and explained the processes and flavourings involved in their production. The tastings ended with a beautifully creamy gin liqueur with a hint of a ‘Baileys’ going on.

The club is definitely considering holding another tasting night in the new year, purely based on the very positive feedback received for this fantastic evening
